Lantern Keep

Privacy Policy.

16 Bit Bytes LLC

Effective date: October 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Lantern Keep (package com.sixteenbitbytes.lanternkeep), an Android garden tower-defense game offered by 16 Bit Bytes LLC (“16 Bit Bytes,” “we,” or “us”), handles information.

Summary

Lantern Keep does not collect, sell, or share personal information, and we receive no data from the app. The game has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no purchases. It works fully offline and requests no Android permissions. Everything the game remembers is stored only on your device.

Information stored on your device

To work as a game, Lantern Keep keeps the following data in its private app storage on your device:

  • Campaign progress, such as gardens unlocked and completed, best nights, and star ratings.
  • A saved garden in progress (plants, seeds, health, the current night, and the shadows on the path), so you can continue later.
  • Settings, such as sound and music volume, touch feedback, reduced motion, and whether you have seen the coaching tips.

This data never leaves your device. We cannot see it. You can erase campaign progress with Settings → Clear Saved Progress (your settings are kept). You can erase everything by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the app.

Network access

Lantern Keep does not use the network. The app does not request the Internet permission, and its code sends nothing anywhere.

Permissions

Lantern Keep requests no Android permissions. Optional touch feedback uses Android's standard on-screen haptic feedback, which needs no permission. You can turn it off with Settings → Touch feedback.

Android backup

Lantern Keep turns Android app backup off, and it excludes its data from cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Your progress stays on the device it was made on.

Third-party services

Lantern Keep contains no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or billing SDKs. The only bundled libraries (listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES) are standard runtime libraries added by the Android build tools, and they run entirely on the device.

Children

The game does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If the app's data practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date before the change ships.
