Effective date: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how NEON BrickStorm (package com.sixteenbitbytes.neonbrickstorm), an Android arcade brick-breaker offered by 16 Bit Bytes LLC (“16 Bit Bytes,” “we,” or “us”), handles information.
Summary
NEON BrickStorm does not collect, sell, or share personal information, and we receive no personal data from the app. The game has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no crash reporting. Everything the game remembers is stored only on your device. The one exception to staying offline is the optional purchase that unlocks World 2 and every world after it, which is handled entirely by Google Play.
Information stored on your device
To work as a game, NEON BrickStorm keeps the following data in its private app storage on your device:
- Campaign progress, such as levels unlocked, star ratings, and a saved game in progress.
- High scores and play statistics, such as bricks broken and best level.
- Settings, such as sound, vibration, difficulty, and whether you have seen the tutorial.
- Whether you own the World 2 unlock, cached so World 2 and every world after it keep working offline.
This data never leaves your device through the app. We cannot see it. You can erase scores and stats with Settings → Reset Scores & Stats. You can erase everything by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
NEON BrickStorm is free to download, and World 1 is free to play. World 2 and every world after it (through World 20) unlock with a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase of $2.99 (US price; Google Play shows the price for your country). There are no ads, subscriptions, or other purchases. Purchases go through Google Play Billing (the Google Play Billing Library is included in the app) and are processed by Google under Google's own terms and privacy policy. Google handles your payment, and we receive no card or other payment data. Google Play gives the app a purchase record (such as the product, purchase state, and purchase token), which NEON BrickStorm checks on your device to unlock World 2 and every world after it (through World 20). We do not operate a server that stores your purchases, and we receive no personal data from them. The unlock is cached on your device so World 2 and every world after it keep working offline, and you can restore it with Settings → Restore Purchases. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy; if Google Play refunds or revokes the purchase, World 2 and every world after it (through World 20) lock again once Google Play confirms it.
Network access
The game itself runs offline. The app talks to Google Play only to show the price, make a purchase, and check or restore purchases. The Google Play Billing Library that handles this declares Android's Internet and network-state permissions, and Google may receive technical diagnostics about billing requests from it under Google's privacy policy. NEON BrickStorm's own code sends nothing over a network, and none of this data reaches us. The About screen's links (this policy, the Terms of Use, and 16bitbytes.com) open in your web browser. From that point, the website and the browser's own privacy practices apply.
Permissions
- Vibrate, used for optional haptic feedback during play. You can turn it off in Settings.
- Google Play billing (
com.android.vending.BILLING), used only for the optional purchase that unlocks World 2 and every world after it, and for restoring it. - Internet and network state, added by the Google Play Billing Library for its connection to Google Play. The game does not use them.
The app requests no other permissions.
Android backup
NEON BrickStorm allows Android's standard app backup. If you have turned on device backup in your Google account, Android may include the game's local save data in your device backup, and Google handles that under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive or have access to these backups. You can manage backup in Android settings.
Third-party services
NEON BrickStorm contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It includes the Google Play Billing Library, which talks only to Google Play to show the price, make the purchase that unlocks World 2 and every world after it (through World 20), and check or restore purchases. Its other bundled libraries, listed in the app's About screen, run entirely on the device.
Children
The game does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If the app's data practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date before the change ships.
